We’re drawn to noir that feels inevitable in the best way: characters chasing something they shouldn’t, choices closing doors behind them, consequences tightening like a noose—while the plot stays propulsive and suspense-forward.
What We’re Looking For
We’re a strong fit for noir manuscripts with:
- a strong, distinctive narrative voice
- moral ambiguity and hard choices with real consequences
- gritty stakes, psychological pressure, or criminal escalation
- atmosphere that enhances the tension (not replaces it)
- momentum that keeps moving forward
- an ending that feels earned—whether bleak, bittersweet, or brutal
Classic noir, modern noir, and noir-adjacent hybrids are welcome, especially when the suspense engine stays active.
